London, England

Our trip to London ended with a bang. After waking up at 1:30pm, jet lagged as ever, we strapped on our boots and strolled down to the lobby.

We had a late breakfast (3pm maybe?) and then headed to the Natural History Museum for our first stop. The building was magnificent and the entrance was FREE! As with all British National Museums (though they do ask for donations).

In our limited time before closing, we caught an expert speak on the importance of meteorites. The scientist had a fun attitude about her and was easy to listen to. She even let us hold a rock from the moon and one that was over 4 billion years old!

The museum closed and we walked to Hyde Park. We rented bicycles and it made all the difference in the world. We rode around the lake and through the gardens doing our best to avoid all of the folk on roller skates. Eventually we stopped at a lakefront bar to grab a beer and an aperol spritz. From our spot we could hear No Doubt and other artists who were performing at a concert in the park.

Comfortably tipsy, we hitched a ride in the tube back to Big Ben. We timed our arrival to Westminster Abbey perfectly. As we walked past the tower at sunset, the gold framing of the huge clock glowed as the sun angled past it.

Lastly, we stopped at a nearby ferry for a fancy dinner and some drinks. The ambiance was awesome and the food was consequently expensive. London Eye sat across from us on the Thames glowing purple. Not wanting to leave, proceeded up to the rooftop for a few more rounds of very expensive drinks. The drinks tasted so good! But gosh darn, that rooftop deck sure turned into a lousy club as the clock hit 11.

All in all, we got some amazing pictures to cap off the day.
