Zurich, Switzerland
After a rainy night, we woke up to a beautiful, sunshiny day. The view from our window made us reconsider our initial thoughts of Switzerland, and we headed out towards the grocery store. But first.. coffee! I thought I could get away with splurging on a medium chai tea latte, but ended up paying over $11 for the drink (ugh). With that, we continued our trek to the grocery store, which ended up being quite fun.
Once we unloaded groceries, we laid down to finish our Marie Antoinette movie (I’ll say it again.. SO disappointing). We will have to get our Marie Antoinette fix elsewhere. Someone tell us, is it worth buying on Prime??
I wanted to make J dinner with our newly stocked fridge and pantry, and so that’s what I did. As we began eating our meal (the table was by the window which was opened and had no screen), sweet James asked me to come over to him. I did so and he took my hand and walked me to the other side of the room, telling me how appreciative he was for dinner. The whole thing was quite odd, but it quickly made sense as he told me to stay right there before grabbing the role of paper towels and heading towards the window. Turns out, there had been a a massive, thick legged hairy spider dangling by my head. James couldn’t have handled the situation better. We closed the windows, and shortly after saw at least 25 baby spiders clustering around the window. It became clear that the big spider was their mama, and she likely just birthed 100s of offspring. Ahhhhh. For those who don’t know, I am terrified, absolutely TERRIFIED of spiders. Our windows will be staying closed for the foreseeable future.
