7/2/2023: What is Brussels?

After a short train ride this morning, we made our way to Brussels! Honestly, first impressions were unimpressive. The three of us agreed that it looked quite similar to a random LA neighborhood. Not totally sure why Brussels is such a well known place. Maybe we’re missing something? The town square was pretty cute, I’ll give it that. But the landmarks/sights the city is known for were, in my opinion, unremarkable. Idk, but the three of us were exhausted. After some good food and a white wine, we headed back to our hostel, did some laundry, and enjoyed the much needed down time.
