7/6/2023: Dinner in the Eiffel Tower

Paris, France

After a looong sleep, we woke up at a decent hour (perhaps we’ve officially beat jet lag?) and headed downstairs for breakfast. We were stoked to find the blue skies and fresh air awaiting us. After some coffee in our system, we walked around, ready to try our first authentic French croissant. Can I just say… wow. My expectations were high, but I had NO idea how good a croissant could be. Now I know why people are so offended by American croissants. It will be hard to go back after experiencing whatever little piece of heaven we devoured that morning. After deciding that hand washed laundry is not for us (specifically me). We walked to the laundry mat down the road and sat in the park across the street until everything was washed and dried.

Then the real fun started. We walked the one mile from our hostel to the Eiffel Tower. Needless to say, it was incredible. And even more incredible, James had made reservations for us to have dinner IN the tower!! We enjoyed a four course meal and several glasses of wine (they kept filling our glasses back up!) while watching the sun set from our window seat of the restaurant. We ended the night with a glass of champagne at the top of the Eiffel Tower and watched the city light up below us. Definitely an experience of a lifetime and a memory we'll never forget.
