8/14/2023: Sziget Day 1

Budapest, Hungary

Sziget let’s goooo! What an awesome festival. Neither of us knew too much about Sziget going into the day, but we quickly found it was so much more than just a music festival. There were art exhibits, crafting stations, stages for dancing, stand up comedy, karaoke, cirque du soleil, and so much more. The headliners for 8/14 were Lorde and Macklemore, both of which we saw. Lorde was great, Macklemore was epic. Such a cool dude with awesome music and even awesomer vibes. We were both blown away by his performance.

After seeing Macklemore, we decided to suck it up and stick around for SG Lewis’s 12:30am show. Boy, were we disappointed. We both know and love a few songs of his, but apparently didn’t know enough to know what he does on the big stage - DJ. We were convinced for the first 30 minutes that the DJ on stage was SG’s opener! We eventually accepted defeat and waddled home.

All in all, it was a pretty dang good day.
