Munich, Germany
After a late night and even later morning (we're talking PM late), we were ready to leave the hotel and start our Munich exploration. We rented some bikes and made our way to Marienplatz, the city’s famous town square located in the heart of Old Town. We weren't too sure what to do with ourselves when we got there, so did some shopping, eating, and drinking before stumbling upon another lego store! After an unsuccessful visit to a Lego store in Prague, we were stoked to find that the Munich store was bigger, cooler, and the prices were actually reasonable. Woohoo!
Despite the temptation, we decided to wait until we were home to invest in an adult lego set (they ran from about $200-500.. which is pretty much the same as the US). Nevertheless, we had a blast looking at all the sculptures and were thrilled to find a station where we could make custom lego people!! The line was pretty long and we were still hoping to accomplish more in the day, so decided to come back the next day to create little Savvy & J lego people.
From there, we grabbed an ice cream sunday and a $12 bottle of water (we didn’t realize how much the water was until the check was brought.. yikes) which we enjoyed on a hidden patio area off the main strip. We then went to a farmers market and checked out a Munich eatily where I enjoyed a snack and aperol spritz while James completed a FaceTime interview (we figured it was time to start lining up opportunities for our return at the end of the month… ugh).
We ended the night with a sunset walk back to our hotel and some blog catch-up work 😉
